Large Epson negatives
those of you who attended APIS remember that Dan Burkholder passed a
negative around the room printed on an inkjet printer. One person asked
if its size was limited to letter or A4.
If you can't find larger clearfilm, try this: many suppliers (iLab,...)
sell rolls of clearfilm for large format plotters. Have one of these and
cut to desired size. This is also cheaper than buying precut film.
Be sure to wear cotton gloves when manipulating the film for cutting and
cut with printing face down. (these films are coated and this coating is
very sensitive to fingerprints etc...)
btw. Dan's method of making coloured negatives also has the benefit of
higher apparent resolution over the monochrome ones. Read his good book
for good results.
greetings,
Carl Fransman
