Well, Jeff, perhaps I'm not the only one wondering if you have me on your
filter -- or otherwise didn't read my message subject-lined "Chemistry and
Peach Jam," which authoritatively debunks a good deal of the mischief in
those "previous discussions."

However, since you raise the subject, I note that we have had a couple of
retractions or semi-retractions offlist, but it's, let me put this
delicately, not *inappropriate*, when aspersions have been cast to retract
them to the same audience got them originally.
