John does have some useful and interesting information on his site. We
do do some things differently, but I'm sure what he does works for him
as what I do works for me.
You may also wish to check out the chapter on Building Negatives in my
Guide (web site below) as well as the chapter on Negative Control. I
use Kodak 4127 and 2556 films. I only use one developer, HC-110, which
at higher strengths can compete with any of those other developers. I
also include some info on masking.
