DEFINITELY glass. Plastic does absorb UV, though different plastics have
different tastes. However, it can also warp, scratch and discolor.
Just don't get "UV absorbing glass" in an absent minded moment as a former
student of mine did when setting up her first workshop. (Yes, it was
disaster.)
