Thanks every one for all the suggestions regarding cyanotype and toning. My
remark about the possible toxic nature of toning cyanotypes in muratic acid
was rather confusing. My concern was handling the hydrochloric acid, not
the ferric ammonium citrate or the postassium ferricyanide. I have been
making cyanotypes, Van Dykes and gum prints for several years. My
preference is the brown to neutral gray image for my recent work, and I am
interested in any process that produces VDB tonal range and detail with
more consistency than VDB.

Thanks Carl and Rita for your ziatype and cyanotype suggestions. Those are
my next steps.

Gwen
