Dave,

I know people who has worked with the Fressons, but I personally never did.

I have been able to connect to their site right now. It is about noon here
in Spain. Perhaps they shut it down at nights :-)

It looks like they accept anything in BW or color slide, from 35mm to 4x5
inches, and can produce B&W prints, duotones and cuadrichromies.

By the way, if you click on the button representing an anglo/american
hybrid flag, on the home page, you will get all the texts in english, no
need to worry about your french :-)

In the last page ("Tarifs") there are two columns for each color/size
combination. One is HT (without taxes) and the other TTC (value added tax
included). I think that this last is what you will be interested in.
Transport and insurance costs don't seem to be included. You can use the
Euro values as a quick and dirty approximation to US dollar values.

It looks like you can just send your negatives or whatever by mail or some
courier and receive back the prints, but I'd get in contact with them first
about the details. All the contact info they have on their pages is a phone
number and a fax, on the home page.

Interestingly enough, they say that they use a high-powered UV enlarger,
instead of using intermediate contact negatives. I wonder how will all that
UV light affect your color slide. If I were you, I'd send a duplicate...

In my opinion, they have always been open to the general public. It was the
general public that didn't know about them...

Bye
Tom
