About John Dugdale's cyanotypes...
The first time I saw any of his prints was a couple of years ago
while looking at books in the local Bookshop Santa Cruz. There was a
book of Walt Whitman's poem "Calamus" titled WHITMAN'S MEN, published
1996 by Universal Publishing, NY.NY.
Among the almost 30 alternative images in the book, are 8 cyanotypes
of J. Dugdale. I bought the book just because of the image of a self
portrait in Rondout Creek is awesome!
I confess two years later...I have not read the entire poem, but I look
at the pictures over & over...
