I have both drums and I caution those that use the reels with sheet film
rather than the expert drums. The edges of the reels where the film sits
gets less development at these edges thus causing less density which will
lead to printing problems, especially with alt (contact) processes. This
problem is why jobo designed the expert drums. For absolute even development
the expert drums must be used. I learned the hard way, so I now own both.
The only time I use the reels is for making masks for 120 film,otherwise they
are pretty much useless.
