Um, one teensy problem... Vegetables have this strange habit of
growing... Their size is generally not stable.. Talk about a print
registration nightmare!

That's why leaves are generally better..

You will need to chose a vegetable that reaches its mature size and then
slowly ripens without an appreciable change in size..

Spirit gum... Get it at any professional theatrical makeup shop or magic
store.. Clowns use it to attach their noses, etc.. The main
ingredient is something like spearmint oil, if I remember.. Very easy
to affix, reposition and remove.. High tack, but easy to wash off of
organics, like skin..

Wax is only an issue with purchased veggies... It is an add-on
preservative sprayed on before shipping.. Keeps the surface nice and
prevents oxidation... Should not find much of a problem with this on
live plants (although they do naturally produce some waxes)..
