Dear Members-
The Getty Museum has an exhibit entitled "Carleton Watkins- From Where
the View Looked Best" through June 4th, 2000. In connection with this,
on June 1st, from 1-4pm, they will have a live demonstration of the wet
plate collodion process, conducted by Stephen Berkman. I saw the
demonstration today, and it was quite impressive. They even had a live
video feed from inside the portable darkroom, so the public could
observe the process!
