Just to agree with you based on my experience including some work with
the Cone Editions folks. The idea here is not to "reproduce" a platinum
print digitally, but to make a digital print from the negative-- as a
print medium in its own right. It's possible to make the output look a
lot like a Pt/Pd print, but just as possible to go in other directions.
Scanning a finished Pt/Pd print is not a good way to go.---Carl
