Yes they are. I purchased many of them when we rebuilt our lab @ the Art
Institute about 1975. Many are still in use and w/out the duct tape. Also,
they have been used thousands and thousands of time during that period.
Actually they were rejected blanks from the manufacturing of suitcases and
I believe they were free. Of course, it is handy to have a suitcase
manufacturer nearby.
