I agree 1000% with Jeffrey here. What a relief when trudging through a big
show with one shouting grandiosity after the other, to come upon a perfect
little jewel, go right up to it and take it into your heart. For me, at
any rate, there's something wonderful about art just as "big as your
face," as I usually put it. There's also an exquisite delicacy in that
size, cannot be matched larger. I've given it up for the nonce, feeling
that my gum needs to be bigger to do what *it* can do, but that's only
provisional.
