If you used Kodak's Rapid Selenium Toner be aware that it is compounded with
ammonium thiosulphate aka rapid fixer and the action of such a strong fixing
agent will bleach van dyke brownprints (a form of kallitype) and salted
paper
prints in my experience. I called Kodak about this once and was informed
that RST was compounded with >40% ammonium thiosulphate (as I recall). So
the problem is most likely the toner and not the paper. Try using a
different toner...a gold toner won't be that expensive unless you tone every
print you make. If you are like me, only a few ever get to the "keeper"
stage where I'd want to tone them.

I tone Vandyke prints in Kodak Selenium toner by adding 2 ml of stock
solution to 500 ml of water. The image color moves away from reddish brown
towards more of a chocolate brown and finally to a yellowish sepia tone.
Selenium toner at this dilution can be used as a reducer especially in the
darker areas of the image. I usually print dark and reduce back with
Selenium Toner.
