I have struck a deal with Satter to buy 5" wide Forte
black and white film on 120 base in 100' rolls. It is
their iso 400 film, which they say is 400 in tungsten
and 200 in daylight (just like most b&w film, but the
makers don't say that; but that's a whole other
topic). There's a small minimum order, but more than I
want. After I pay CT sales tax and shipping to
whoever wants some, it's $160 per 100' roll. I will
have 5 to sell. I must have the money up front before
I order it. I can't afford to get stuck with that
much film. I have not been told what the delivery time
would be, but would expect 4-8 weeks.
btw, Ilford said they would be interested inselling
HP5+ in 5" rolls, but after 2 months they still
haven't come up with a price. A year ago, it was
almost twice Forte's with a 20 roll minimum.
Anyone interested?
