Inflection in Tmax and PyrocatHD - Further investigation reveals bogosity

FYI

It appears that what I have been calling an inflection is actually due to
some uneven illumination in some 4x5 step wedge exposures done by a third
party. I've done my own step tablet tests on 5x7 Tmax400, along with 5x7
FP4+ and 5x7 BPF200 with more careful illumination. I developed those three
films along with the (now bogus) 4x5 Tmax together in the big Jobo expert
drum in Pyrocat-HD for times of 5.5, 8, 12, and 16 minutes at 75 degrees
with a dilution of 1:2:100. I used a calibrated step tablet for my own
exposures, and a Heiland B&W transmission densitometer to read the test.

I have a spreadsheet in excel format which has all this data for anyone
interested. Email me off-list and I will send it to you. I think you will
find the results for BPF200 especially interesting - pretty hard to control
contrast with that film!

Cheers,

Clay
