Hi:

The UofS uses a virus scanner on the mail server that runs this list.
This is supposed to prevent a virus from being sent through the list.
However if ones email address has found its way into the address book of a
now infected computer you may still get a virus addressed to you
personally.

I've received 3 BadtransB attempts so far - all caught by the scanner -
but I'm not worried - using pine :)

I don't know if there is a patch for preventing outlook from sending this
virus - if one does a search for badtransb at microsoft one gets a sorry
no results returned.

I guess Microsoft knows nothing about this.

Gord
