This is a cross post message for three different lists - my apologies to
those receiving this more than once. Some of you may recall my plight with
Digital Negs and Quad black inks not drying/adhering properly to Pictorico
OHP film. Pictorico says you must use dye and all the MIS quads are pigment
(contrary to prior info). Does anyone know who makes a dye based Quad
black/gray inkset for Epsons??????

Many thanks,

Nick

All of our quadtone inks are pigment inks. Pigment inks do not dry totally
on glossy surfaces. If you are using glossy surfaces, dye based ink is the
only type that will dry.

Hi, I am unable to discern the difference between dye & pigments on a
particular ink from info available on your website. I have been attempting
to use quad black ink for the purpose of making digital negatives and have
found that the inks remain very fragile to the touch on Pictorico OHP film.
The issue of dye vs pigment has been touted to be at the cause of the
problem. Pigment inks being the culprit and supposedly, dye inks being
preferred. I have tried both your original Quad Black and the newer Quad
Black FS with no success. My understanding is that the former is dye based
and the latter is pigment based, however, I am unable to confirm that from
info on your web site. Can you confirm which is which or if I am mistaken?
In addition, are you able to direct me to one of your quad black/gray
inksets that is known to adhere properly to the Pictorico OHP film? Many
thanks, Nick
