This just compounds the earlier confusion. A 30" telephoto lens, as Sam
or someone said, may be actually only 10" long, but it still gives the
same image as you would get with a 30" non-telephoto lens, or with a
pinhole mounted 30" from the film. That is the crucial point, as I was
saying, and all this other stuff, while interesting, is irrelevant to
the point.
