Shannon,

Tipped in refers to gluing at the top or corners of
the print in-to/on-to the page of the book. Some
will also say that a stamp hinge style mount is also
tipping in/tipped in.

My small prints tipped in to a debossment in 11x14
watercolor paper a stamp style hinge is used.
