Edelman Gallery sometimes has alt photos.
Flatfile Gallery right now has a show of alt photos titled "Outside the Box". I haven't visited yet (hopefully this afternoon) but Keith Gerling has. Here's a link to the website: Flatfile Photography Gallery
Alt shows pop up here & there in Chicago---one of the more recent showing was at De Paul University. The website for the Chicago Artist's Coalition & also the Gallery Guides may give you information about upcoming exhibits. Chicago Artists' Coalition Online Featuring Original Artworks
