I saw some Atget prints at the mfa in houston yesterday that were
labelled "arrowroot paper photograph." Does anybody know what this
means, like what kind of emulsion it is? I know that arrowroot is
used in cooking sort of like cornstarch, so maybe the silver is
dissolved in an arrowroot solution and then brushed on the paper?
(There were also the POP ones that I knew about, but I never heard of
his arrowroot prints.)
