Ken,
These chemicals are most probably still OK unless they survived a fire incident or flooding.
I just had a doubt on ferrous salts which may oxidize in ferric salts. On the other hand, if you have ferric oxalate, you know that light will turn it back to ferrous oxalate.
I think the question could be: do you need these chemicals ?
Cheers,
Philippe

|Hi all,
|
|A question to the more chemically oriented...
|
|A friend has just gifted a box containing some "old" chemicals in their
|original sealed containers, and I am now wondering if they
|might still be
|of use ...ie would they likely to be still useable.... or
|should I dispose
|of them in the "correct" manner?
|
|1. Potassium oxalate 500g
|2. Oxalic acid 500g
|3. Ferrous oxalate 500g
|4. Potassium chlorate 500g
|
|Thanks
|
|Ken
