I believe Sandy is still researching the origin and usage of the various
names for what we call Vandyke. It has been brown print, sepia print, and
lately Vandyke. I do not believe that platinum/palladium have ever been
called brown prints--not that I've ever read, but I've only begun to study
up on the history of the various processes.
