The Polaroid 4x5 negative scanners are down to the 700$ (US) range, just
a short while ago I think they were in the 5k$ range. Polaroids getting
out of the scanner business and this seems like a fire-sale. Dont know
how you would find it compared to the Epson. There is a 4x5 scanner
review in the current issue of View Camera magazine that compares the
Polaroid, Epson, and either an Imacon or a drum scan, cant remember, the
claim was the Epson performed just as well as the high end model, I'd be
a little dubious about that.
