Hi Mark,
I use pure palladium on Arches Platine and I have very high detail.
Making sure the negative is firmly pressed on the paper and and use a point source is a first step towards resolution I would say. I also get very high detail with cyano on warabanshi paper (even on the rough surface).

Subject: Pt/PD Paper for Superior resolution
I would be interested in hearing from folks regarding a paper for Pt/PD printing that will give SUPERIOR detail when printing. It can be an unconventional paper—that is fine.
Thanks,
Mark Nelson
