Leonard,

> Who is Mark Nelson and what is his method of making digital >negatives?

Mark is a member of the alt-photo-process list and his digital negatives
are made using an inkjet printer and printing on Pictorico OHP media.

Currently the complete details of his method have not been revealed to the
public pending completion of beta testing of his methods by Sandy King and
others.

I can tell you that the prints made by Mark and Sandy using Nelson generated
inkjet negatives are very nice. The prints shown at APIS 2003 were very
impressive. However, Mike Kravitz and Keith Schrieber also had some
excellent palladium prints made from inkjet negatives printed on Pictorico
OHP that were also quite impressive.

So we all are waiting with baited breath to learn of the details of his
method.

I beleive that Mark, Sandy, Mike and Keith were printing with an Epson 2000,
2200, or 7600 printer.

Dan Burkholder is scheduled to release a new method based on "templates", as
he calls them in mid September. So things are about to get interesting.

Hope this helps,

Don Bryant
