Well, I do declare...

Many folks fog while transported, but that's not news. I do have two other
items to share, however:

1. If anyone is still looking for methyl cellulose, it's used by book
binders or printers & the like, as an ingredient in paper paste, or even
the paste itself. I bought mine at TALAS, but imagine any of the
conservation/ archival supplies sources would have it. It has the nice
quality by the way of not, as far as I can tell, spoiling. So you can mix
a little jar & use it whenever.

2. Today's "circuits" section of the NY Times, which some of you may read
online occasionally, has 3 items I found of particular interest, possibly
relevant (eventually anyway) to our pursuits:

An article comparing 3 different spam filters was purely practical,
although the writer gets so much spam it can make us feel unloved.

An article about new OLEDs, or organic light emitting diodes, being
researched in the Netherlands (Hi Cor !), that promise to give brighter,
clearer, larger LED displays printed by inkjet.

A report on the recent attack by Slammer worm that put both my ISPs out of
commission for a while, maybe yours too -- and some of the pros & cons
about sharing the news with the public.

That's today, Thursday's, "Circuits" section of the Times, which almost
always has something of interest beyond Internet shopping..

cheers,

Judy
