I have on display in my showroom an English oil fired horizontal enlarger.
It has a chamber in back of the condenser lens a chamber with a smoke stack
that contained an oil lamp to expose the negative.
A brass plate on the front says:
Westminster Photographic Exchange ltd.
111 Oxford st.
119 Oxford st.
London
I was told it was circa 1860, but I cannot prove that - no date is on the
enlarger.
