I know from experience that ammonium and dichromate solutions mixed
with distilled water are very long lived. Does anyone know what the
storage life might be of a dichromate solution mixed with distilled
water and then diluted 1:2 with acetone? Any evidence to suggest that
the acetone may over time break down the dichromate and render it
useless as a hardening agent for colloid photography?
