I think Judy missed the point with the technical considerations of a compact digital camera when it comes to megapixels. A 6 megapixel is only 25% higher in resolution than a 3 megapixel camera, do the math. Area has to double by factors of 4 rather than linear measurement which double on factor of 2. So the difference between a 5 and 6 megapixel is or a 3 or 4 is merely academic and may do more to consider the quality of software interpolation and lens quality. Well that's just my thoughts...

Oh and BTW Nikon has a new chip coming out for their full size bodies that will keep the interchangeable lens to their true focal length. 25mm x 37mm
