What you want is a devtek heater made exactly for this purpose. It's a
U shaped piece of metal with a thermostat that just drops in to your
water bath. It's been a long time, but I'm pretty sure you could get
those suckers cooking. I used to have a box of them in the days of
bathtub film processing at my job. They used to cost about $130. A
local camera store used to order them for me no problem.
