"Printing with Cyanotype and Van Dyke" workshop
Since we're talking Peter's Valley & workshops, Carmen Lizardo (who wrote
the VDB & Kallitype articles in Post-Factory #8) is slated for a 4-day
workshop there June 13 to 16, "The Cyanotype and Vandyke Brown processes."
It's billed as a "complete hands-on guide to hand-applied emulsions ....
including today's digital options.... [and] will enable students to
transform their images by experimenting with alternative materials, such
as fine quality papers and fabrics [with both] conventional and new
approaches in producing enlarged negatives.... Also brief discussion on
setting up a simple ultraviolet unit for home use.
Beginner to Advanced
Tuition: $360 Lab Fee: $65
Quote: Peters Valley is in the Northwest corner of New Jersey, convenient
by car, bus or train. Housing is available on campus, as are meals. For
catalog, call 973-948-5200 or on line at www.pvcrafts.org.
End quote.
Carmen is an award-winning teacher, as well as brilliant artist, but I
make no guarantees about "musty." You may have to bring your own...
cheers,
Judy
