If your silver solution includes citric acid, a small amount of silver
citrate will crystallise out after a time, but it is insignificant.

Subject: Silver cristals in Salt Print emulsion

Dear list.

IŽve been trying to make salt prints, and recently, after long months of
trial, I got consistent results. But I still have on small doubt about the
emulsion. A couple of weeks after the solution is prepared, silver cristals
start to appear at the bottom of the bottle. I donŽt notice changes in the
copies, but IŽam still worried if this could affect the prints. (maybe less
silver in the liquid emulsion?).

Thanks for your income.

Sincerely,

Agustin Barrutia,
Buenos Aires, Argentina.
