Funny thing about taste...... Some folks condone / love the work of that
world-class pervert J.P. Whitkin and condemn what seems to me the exquisitely
beautiful pictures of Sally Mann. Yes, I love the pictures of her kids, but I
think her recent landscapes are some of the finest photographs ever made-- and
clearly within the pictorial tradition. I attended her New York opening in
NYC last month and noticed that she had sold dozens of pictures, at prices up
to $30,000 a pop. Arthur
