In that respect Powell, Wyoming is similar to Istanbul, Turkey. There are
no well-stocked art supply stores in this area. Most of my alt-photo
supplies are purchased through mailorder. It's nice to see before buying,
but that's not always possible.

Powder pigments are relatively inexpensive and readily available. For gum
printing I recommend the following colors: carbon/lampblack, ivory black,
phthalocyanine (blue&green), quinacridone (magenta&red), arylamide yellow,
raw umber, burnt umber, raw sienna, burnt sienna, and indian red. Colors
can easily be mixed to achieve a very wide range of effect. Check out the
link below for examples of my gum prints, using these colors.
