What about trinocular, and so on? (no kidding, there are such
microscopes)

Also, there are teaching microscopes where there is one set of
objectives attached to many pairs of binocular eyepieces.

I use one with binocular eyepiece and a dedicated digital imaging
acquisition system... very nice and convenient.
