Cold mercury is a development process all by itself, and gives a look
different from hot.
I've done it with a plate sensitized by iodine, and put up-side down
over a dish with some mercury from my manometers (motorcycle tune-up
equipment). Plate speed is almost as fast as warm mercury, and faster
than Becquerel.

I've found that the Becquerel development doesn't have as much
latitude, more like a polaroid- it also solarizes somewhat more easily.
