I understand from talking to the folks at Chromaline that media purchases would have to be made through their distributor network. I found a dealer locally but they don't even stock any of the material, very discouraging. This isn't really a problem for me now but I'm considering purchasing a Epson 4000 next year so it may be then.

As a related issue I wonder if there is a way to purchase Agfa's SelectJet media from a supplier in Europe or maybe Canada. Just a thought. I've contacted Agfa USA and they have no plans to distribute the product here (at least that was their reply several weeks ago.)

Yes.. Chromaline sent me a sample pack of the AccuArt2 (2 8.5x11
sheets). The first sheet, the 7600 promptly shredded (happens all the
time with OHP sheets). The second one printed, and looks like the same
material as OHP in rolls. (Chromaline wasn't sure of this, and neither
was Pictorico when I talked to them).

Thanks to everyone who responded about this problem. My friends decided
to
abandon using sheets and spring for the large roll of Pictorico OHP
(a.k.a.
Chromaline AccuArt2 http://www.chromaline.com/) for their 7600.

Looks like Pictorico is finding it more profitable to not sell the roll
format directly. Too bad. Marketing games like this usually wind up
hurting us, the consumers in the short and long term. Smoke 'em while
you
got 'em.
