Was it Dirk? Whoever it was, apologized for misusing "chiming in."
Actually he used it perfectly, and if some dictionary said otherwise --
demand your money back.

Next lecture will be on "who and whom", but that's something I expect les
etrangeres have a pretty good handle on.... it's the editors of the NY
Times who fall apart when they meet a case.
