?? I think in turn my answer was taken farther than my meaning. I did
note your "if the premise is true" and I completely understood you to be
simply stating the hypothetical argument that might explain the premise,
if the premise were true. I was simply saying in response that in my
experience, the premise isn't true. I don't see anything in this to
bristle at; certainly no offense was meant.
