Through the looking glass

As someone who rejoices in the technical aspects of aesthetic pursuits, I was
initially inclined to be annoyed at the contentiousness of various parties on
this list. I have enjoyed the list much more since I decided to adopt a
sense of wonder at a place where bitter feuds can break out over questions of
boiling gelatin and the gender identity of those not in attendance.
