I have both books but I do not recommend them. They contain many
mistakes, and formulae in those books don't really work with today's
photographic gelatin.

This book is a scientific and engineering approach to emulsion
chemistry and it contains few emulsion formulae. It is about the
chemistry not about how-to. The content is more modern than those two
books above.
