Though I can't say from personal experience that there is any difference,
The Merck Index does state that the green form is more readily reduced by
light to the ferrous state, and of course has different proportions of NH3,
Fe, and hydrated citric acid.

Got hold of some brown AIC . Can I use it in VanDyke and other alt photo
processes?
What is the difference between the green and the brown variants of AIC?
