Hi Dan,

I tone before fixing - they say it eliminates bleaching in the fixer -
even though I never experienced bleaching when fixing in plain 2% sodium
thiosulfate for 1 min. max. I use the gold toner formula given in Wynn
White's article @ unblinkingeye.com.

Loris.

Subject: Toning Van Dyke Prints

After reading a number of articles regarding this, I
find the field split between toning before and after
fixing the print. What is the opinion of the group?
Also does anyone have a basic gold toning formula they
are willing to share?
Thanks
Dan
