I use the CS2 HDR to first combine the separate exposures into a 32-bit image. But then I use the Tone Mapping plugin from www.hdrsoft.com to do the tweaking. It makes more sense than the "version 1" klutziness of CS2's HDR fiddling. If you mention my name, you can get a discount from hdrsoft.com but (sadly) I don't get a piece of that action.

The images aren't colorized at all. In fact, I desaturate more often than not. There are wonderful digital artifacts that appear. I liken it to the way we used to process Tri-X in paper developer to pump the grain. Digital lets us do similar twists.
