Dan,
That is on my list of things to try—HDR. I am assuming you are using
this feature in CSII?
And Bob asked about a before-after too.
I use the CS2 HDR to first combine the separate exposures into a 32-bit
image. But then I use the Tone Mapping plugin from www.hdrsoft.com to
do the tweaking. It makes more sense than the "version 1" klutziness of
CS2's HDR fiddling. If you mention my name, you can get a discount from
hdrsoft.com but (sadly) I don't get a piece of that action.
The images aren't colorized at all. In fact, I desaturate more often
than not. There are wonderful digital artifacts that appear. I liken it
to the way we used to process Tri-X in paper developer to pump the
grain. Digital lets us do similar twists.
Thanks for looking!
Dan
