Just a thought: anyone visiting the UK from overseas and worried about
X-rays is welcome to bring/send B&W films here for developing, to be mailed
back to your home address when ready. I was able to do this for Ed Buffaloe
a couple of summers ago.

FWIW
Flying to Europe last year fr San Francisco saw us checked thoroughly
with shoes off.
From London on Ryan Express, to Italy it was much more rigorous as
well as Rome to
London.
To save film inspection at the airport ALL film was shipped through
the Post Office
ahead of time. That taken on board was noticeably degraded by X-Ray.
