This has bounced back
The first coat of gum always feels differently, then the subsequent coatss.
I thought that by including the dichromate in the hardening process I could
change that. That is not the case the first gum layer always goes in
differenlty then the following layers. It seems that the dichromate soaks
into the gelatine sieze easier the first time around. And then there is the
endless need for a gummist to experiment.

    Katharine,
I have used acrylic medium (20% in a 6% gelatine). Medium dies notcontain
any pigment, no reason to worry about titabium dioxide bleaching. Inded
very durble sieze for gum.

Just curious, why did you decide to go with the dichromated gelatin
instead?
