Yes, paper dependant some more than others but I don't know of any that
don't. Where to judge the print becomes put of the issue? Wait til dry? Or
chose a bath and time that comes close to dry and how much light present in
the room.

Ammonium is to my eye much cooler than sodium citrate and can not comment on
potassium color wise.

Ammonium citrate will produce prints with more contrast than Potassium
Oxalate prints as well as cooler in tone. I don't have my step test in front
of me that may tell me answers to some of your other questions.

I don't switch my developer unless the color of the print demands that I use
a different type; Potassium Oxalate is it, home made of course to make it
very affordable.
