Ahem...try googling the term "AOL Sucks" old boy and read the 4.9 million
web hits that, in most cases, not so respectfully disagree...never mind
about the ex-AOL network engineer who recently sold 92 million AOL e-mail
addresses (read: probably yours Terry) to a spam company. They've long been
reviled by users and system administrators alike. The lowest common
denominator on the Internet. Only a few short years ago they were one of the
primary sources of spam on the Internet because of their marketing policies
which flooded the world with unverified "Trial" subscriptions....Then there
was the time they blocked a bunch of incoming acceptance letters from
Harvard...Oh! ho! what a hoot that one was...

AOL is used by people who want good protection from spam, good archiving and
the ability to use the system anywhere in the world.
